Turbo Sunshine has had a very long night… a very long night in a difficult city. Yet for Brandon Strecker ( vocals and guitar), Devin Tait (synthesizers) and Dolly Dagger (drums) the first rays of daylight are starting to shine through the crust in their eyes. When you see them you might be tempted to ask them what just happened, but a second look will confirm that it is probably not a good idea.
Some stories are better told in song, and some stories are better never told. Turbo Sunshine will sing you the songs and let you decide which ones are which.
The story begins with the release of their first single “Welcome to the Fallout”; a dance-able rock number that invites the listener in with a warm-hearted bassline followed by the beckoning chorus.
“Welcome to the Fallout” was self produced by the band at their own Freedom Sound Studios in downtown Los Angeles. They are currently locked in said studio working on more stories, more songs and a variety of digital concoctions.
Turbo Sunshine plans to release their first album of approximately 10 songs one-at-a-time for your listening pleasure through a myriad of online file slingers. The current plan is to release approximately one track per month. Turbo Sunshine would like to remind you to never trust a release date.
Turbo Sunshine is perfecting their live performance. They plan to continue sporadic live performances while completing their recordings.
Dawn is breaking over downtown Los Angeles. Climb one of the nearby mountains and gaze down at the city below. L.A. is a nuclear bomb exploding in slow motion. Take it all in and know that somewhere down there is Turbo Sunshine, working from a dark room, trying to usher in a bright new day.
